About this role
The team is seeking a Senior PHP Programmer with strong expertise in CakePHP to join their development team. This role involves working on enterprise applications tailored for Japanese clients. The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in PHP development, a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and the ability to understand Japanese project documents and communicate effectively in Japanese.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain enterprise applications using PHP and CakePHP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing and code reviews.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Communicate effectively with Japanese clients and team members, understanding project documentation in Japanese.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in PHP and CakePHP with a strong portfolio of projects.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Bilingual in Japanese (JLPT N4) and English, with the ability to read and understand technical documents in Japanese.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in PHP development.
