About this role
As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator, you will be a results-driven, customer-focused technical leader responsible for the reliability, performance, and security of the team enterprise Oracle database platforms. You will bring a strong sense of ownership and accountability, delivering outcomes that support both operational excellence and customer commitments while helping power the work of purpose-driven organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver reliable and secure Oracle database services to ensure high availability and performance.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, implementing best practices and tuning techniques.
- Manage database security, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business needs.
- Perform regular backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for Oracle databases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Oracle Database Administration, particularly with 0CI and Exadata.
- Strong understanding of database security, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and other monitoring tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, with a focus on enterprise-level environments.
