About this role
The team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Member Technical Staff to join their team as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer. In this hands-on individual contributor role, you will be responsible for building and scaling production ML systems across text and image modalities. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and shipping robust inference backends, automating training and deployment workflows, and enhancing model performance across both traditional machine learning and modern deep learning systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement production-ready machine learning models, including LLMs, transformers, and embeddings.
- Develop and maintain robust inference backends for various applications.
- Automate and optimize training and deployment workflows to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ML systems.
- Continuously monitor and enhance model performance through iterative improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in machine learning, with a strong understanding of both traditional and deep learning techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for deploying ML solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in machine learning engineering or a related field.
