The team is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering for their Cloud Platform team. This role is pivotal in delivering innovative software solutions for the insurance industry, focusing on Property and Casualty (P/C) insurers. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for developing and enhancing the team’s SaaS platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of customers while maintaining high standards of security and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based applications and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Drive best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
- Monitor and improve system performance, scalability, and security of cloud applications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product development strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software engineering with a focus on cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
