The team is seeking a Senior Manager, Firmware to lead the development and implementation of innovative firmware solutions for their cutting-edge IoT platform. This role is crucial in transforming everyday products into cloud-connected devices, enhancing user experiences and enabling manufacturers to adapt to the smartphone era.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of firmware engineers in the design, development, and testing of firmware for IoT devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define firmware requirements and specifications.
- Oversee the integration of firmware with hardware components, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance firmware efficiency and reduce time-to-market.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product development strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in embedded systems and firmware development, with a strong understanding of real-time operating systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with IoT protocols and standards (e.g., MQTT, CoAP).
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive teams towards successful outcomes.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in firmware development, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
