The team is seeking a highly skilled and seasoned Senior Mainframe Storage Architect to join their enterprise infrastructure team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the engineering, configuration, performance tuning, data migration, and 24/7 reliability of the enterprise z/OS storage environment across diverse business domains including retail banking, wealth management, global markets, and payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer and configure mainframe storage solutions to meet business needs.
- Perform performance tuning to optimize storage systems.
- Manage data migration processes to ensure seamless transitions.
- Ensure 24/7 reliability and availability of the z/OS storage environment.
- Collaborate closely with application development teams and database administrators to align storage solutions with application requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to storage architecture and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with z/OS storage architecture and administration.
- Proficiency in data migration techniques and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of enterprise storage solutions and best practices.
- Experience working in financial services or similar regulated industries is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in mainframe storage administration or related roles.
