About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Kubernetes Engineer (SME) to join their team in building and managing mission-critical production infrastructure on Kubernetes. In this role, you will take ownership of the full stack, from the underlying operating system and container runtime to networking, storage, and the cluster control plane. You will be engaged across the entire lifecycle, including architecture, deployment, hardening, and day-2 operations for multi-cluster, multi-tenant environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Kubernetes-based solutions for production environments.
- Manage the lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement infrastructure best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes deployments and operations.
- Automate deployment and management processes using CI/CD tools.
- Ensure security and compliance of Kubernetes environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools for Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on Kubernetes.
