About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise engineering programme in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for building event-driven microservices on a modern reactive stack that supports high-volume transaction processing. The work is primarily greenfield-oriented, allowing for significant input into architecture decisions that are made close to the code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable microservices using Java 17.
- Implement and maintain applications using Spring Boot and Spring Web.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing applications for performance and scalability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java engineering.
- Strong experience with Java 17 and related frameworks like Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture and microservices.
- Experience in high-volume transaction processing systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Java development.
