About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Full-Stack SaaS Developer to enhance and maintain an existing Point of Sale (POS) system primarily built with TypeScript and JavaScript. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of retail POS systems, inventory management, sales processes, receipt generation, reporting, and multi-client architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit and secure the existing GitHub codebase, server, database, backups, and deployment process.
- Verify that the current GitHub code aligns with the latest valid POS updates.
- Create a safe staging/test environment for development and testing purposes.
- Document any identified risks or outstanding work that needs to be addressed.
- Correct existing errors within the POS system and enhance the user interface.
- Implement new functions or modify existing ones based on provided requirements and visual references.
- Conduct thorough testing before any live deployment to ensure system reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Experience with Prisma database management.
- Familiarity with GitHub for version control.
- Knowledge of retail POS systems and their functionalities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in full-stack development, specifically in SaaS applications and POS systems.
