The team is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead their tech and engineering department in Bangalore. This role is crucial for driving the development of innovative solutions aimed at empowering smallholder farmers through technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering management and a passion for leveraging technology for social impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of the FarmerChat platform and other related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Implement best practices in software development, including agile methodologies and continuous integration.
- Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for technology-driven solutions.
