About this role
The team is seeking a Senior QA Engineer for its Advanced Distribution Planning System (ADPS) platform, based in Pune, India. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the quality and reliability of next-generation software used for the analysis and modeling of electric distribution networks and renewable energy systems. The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing test automation frameworks, developing and executing test strategies, and ensuring high-quality software releases through continuous testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review technical specifications and engineering requirements.
- Create detailed test plans and test cases.
- Design, maintain, and execute automated and manual tests.
- Validate functionality, performance, and security of .NET and C# applications.
- Analyze defects and collaborate with developers on solutions.
- Promote QA best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Work closely with development and product teams to ensure requirements are thoroughly tested.
- Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies.
- Evaluate and implement modern testing tools, including AI-based solutions.
- Maintain complete test documentation and quality metrics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of software quality assurance experience.
- Experience with testing distributed systems and microservices.
- Experience with API and backend automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Proficiency with Jira and GitHub or similar tools.
- Experience with Dynatrace APM, infrastructure monitoring, distributed tracing, and log analysis.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes & Docker.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI.
- Knowledge of SQL, LINQ, and relational databases.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational abilities, and effective prioritization and time management skills.
