About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Engineer in Cyber Defence to enhance their security posture and respond to emerging threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud security and threat detection, with a focus on proactive monitoring and incident response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and detect early signals of compromise and automate security response strategies.
- Administer and optimize SIEM tools with custom correlation rules for effective threat detection.
- Lead advanced threat analysis and cloud security monitoring across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Analyze perimeter logs and network activity to identify and address vulnerabilities.
- Respond to and investigate cloud and perimeter-based security incidents.
- Collaborate with L1 analysts and incident response teams to mitigate threats.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in cyber security, particularly in cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools and threat detection methodologies.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP security best practices.
- Experience in analyzing network traffic and logs for security incidents.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in cyber security or related fields, with a focus on incident response and threat analysis.
