About this role
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be working on sophisticated, industrial, real-time systems involving embedded Linux platforms, industrial communications, edge computing, data acquisition, and desktop software applications. You will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of innovative monitoring systems used for Grid Monitoring, Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), Generation, and other critical electrical infrastructure applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop embedded software for real-time systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
- Implement and test software solutions on embedded Linux platforms.
- Troubleshoot and debug software and hardware issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure software quality through rigorous testing and validation processes.
- Document design processes, software architecture, and user manuals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
- Strong experience with embedded Linux development.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, Ethernet).
- Knowledge of edge computing and data acquisition systems.
- Experience with software development tools and methodologies (Agile, Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in industrial applications.
