About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Databricks Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable Lakehouse architectures using Databricks, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable Lakehouse architectures with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
- Build and manage Delta Live Tables (DLT) pipelines for reliable and maintainable data transformation workflows.
- Govern data assets including tables, volumes, and models through Unity Catalog, enforcing fine-grained access control and lineage tracking.
- Optimize performance of data workflows and ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and provide solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Databricks and Delta Lake.
- Proficiency in building and managing DLT pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Unity Catalog and data governance principles.
- Experience in performance optimization of data workflows.
- Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in data engineering or related fields, with a focus on Databricks and cloud data platforms.
