About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Database Administrator with extensive experience in managing and optimizing both relational and NoSQL databases. This role requires a proactive approach to database performance and a strong ability to collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize relational and NoSQL databases across production and non-production environments.
- Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor database performance and proactively address bottlenecks and anomalies.
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of database systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to database configurations and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
- Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Experience in designing and implementing backup and recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud database solutions and services, particularly in AWS or Azure environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Experience: 7-15 years in database administration or a related field.
