About this role
The team is seeking an experienced and leadership-minded Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Pyspark and AWS. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the reliability, scaling, and operation of the enterprise data infrastructure. You will balance core development with production support and operational excellence, ensuring high availability through proactive monitoring and debugging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Pyspark.
- Implement and manage data storage solutions on AWS, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Pyspark and AWS services (such as S3, Redshift, and Glue).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
