About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Data Engineering team. This role is inherently multi-functional and requires collaboration with Client Experience, Data Scientists, Analysts, Application teams, and other Data Engineering squads. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and a passion for working with diverse teams to drive data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Optimize data processing and storage solutions for performance and cost efficiency.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes.
- Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
