About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead multiple initiatives and solutions within their Global Data & Analytics technology organization. This role is crucial in establishing future-proof data and solution architectures that support data engineering, data science, analytics, business intelligence, and AI on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor data engineering teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Design and implement scalable data architectures that meet business and analytical needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure data integrity.
- Develop and optimize ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation.
- Evaluate and integrate new data technologies and tools to enhance data capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
- Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong experience with SQL and programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
