About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategies and designing, building, and maintaining the entire data layer for the analytics stack. You will work closely with various teams across data engineering, analytics, and visualization to deliver robust Business Intelligence solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to support analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality datasets.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across different systems and platforms.
- Define and apply software engineering best practices to enhance data quality and performance.
- Optimize existing data processes and recommend improvements.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data issues in a timely manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in data engineering or analytics roles.
