About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, as well as proficiency in ETL processes, SQL, and Python. A working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is also desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust data pipelines to support data integration and transformation.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure data quality and accessibility.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for performance and scalability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance issues.
- Document data architecture and processes for future reference and compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
- Proficient in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Solid programming skills in Python for data processing and automation.
- Familiarity with GCP and its data services is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience: 5-8 years in data engineering or related fields.
