About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines while ensuring high reliability and efficiency. You will play a crucial part in guiding data infrastructure design and developing proof of concepts for recommended solutions. Collaboration with engineering and product teams will be essential as you help the Research team create new data products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for various applications.
- Design and implement data infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to support the development of innovative data products.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for the Data Warehouse and other data products.
- Design, develop, and conduct quality assurance on code related to data engineering.
- Provide thought leadership and reliable execution on diverse projects.
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers to foster their growth and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with data pipeline tools and frameworks, such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or similar.
- Strong understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
