The Senior Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for designing, coding/configuring, and administering Cyber Security systems. This individual will champion processes and technology as a subject matter expert in various technical areas, demonstrating their expertise at a senior level. The position requires close collaboration with teams in other Cyber Security disciplines, infrastructure, and operations to provide superior protection to the team information assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement security solutions to safeguard critical information.
- Configure and maintain Cyber Security systems and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
- Lead incident response efforts and develop mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Cyber Security engineering and administration.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM).
- Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in Cyber Security or related field.
