The team is seeking a Senior Cobol Developer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mainframe technologies and a strong background in Cobol programming. This role is critical in supporting and enhancing existing applications while developing new solutions to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Cobol and other mainframe technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize source management tools to manage code versions and deployments.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers to enhance team skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Computer Programming or a related discipline; Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field is preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in mainframe development.
- Proficient in Cobol, AS400, RPGLE, and C programming.
- Experience with iSeries, Unisys, and other mainframe technologies.
- Familiarity with source management tools and best practices in software development.
