About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and administer the Azure infrastructure behind an enterprise data and AI platform. This role will focus on Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Machine Learning. The successful candidate will own the platform foundation, which includes infrastructure as code, network and identity architecture, compute governance, observability, and cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable Azure solutions for data and AI applications.
- Administer and optimize Azure Databricks environments.
- Manage Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2) and Azure Data Factory.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
- Ensure compliance with governance and security best practices.
- Collaborate with data engineering and data science teams to optimize workflows.
- Monitor and manage costs associated with cloud resources.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, and Azure Data Factory.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code principles and tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Experience with cloud governance, observability, and cost management strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Experience: 5-8 years in cloud engineering or related fields.
