About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Users Infrastructure team in India. In this pivotal role, you will architect the foundational security and identity substrate that underpins every product. You will lead the transition from legacy authorization systems to a modern, globally distributed Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform powered by SpiceDB and Go. This is a high-leverage position that requires a blend of secure backend engineering skills and the leadership maturity to grow a new regional hub for a Tier-1 infrastructure unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure backend systems for user identity and access management.
- Lead the transition from legacy systems to modern IAM solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security features.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices of secure software development.
- Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the infrastructure.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in backend engineering with a focus on security and identity management.
- Proficiency in Go and familiarity with SpiceDB.
- Experience with IAM solutions and distributed systems.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to grow and mentor a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience: 5-8 years in backend engineering or related fields.
