About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong focus on Java and Python, and expertise in AWS Serverless architecture. This role will primarily involve developing and maintaining a messaging service, leveraging event-driven design patterns and serverless technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust backend services using Java and Python.
- Develop and manage serverless applications utilizing AWS Lambda and AWS Step Functions.
- Implement event-driven architecture patterns such as pub/sub, orchestration, and CQRS.
- Utilize Amazon EventBridge for event management and integration.
- Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure seamless integration of backend services.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing backend systems for performance and reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Java and Python programming languages.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS serverless technologies, including Lambda and Step Functions.
- Familiarity with event-driven design patterns and architectures.
- Experience with Amazon EventBridge and its components.
- Ability to work in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development, with a focus on serverless architecture.
