About this role
The team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale backend systems powering large-scale IoT platforms. This role is based in Mumbai and requires an onsite presence. You will be responsible for working on systems that ingest, process, and analyze high-throughput data streams from distributed devices such as solar installations or other IoT-enabled infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable backend systems for IoT applications.
- Implement data ingestion pipelines to handle high-throughput data streams.
- Optimize backend performance and ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in IoT and backend development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Strong understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL).
- Familiarity with IoT protocols and data processing frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in backend development, preferably in IoT or high-scale systems.
