About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Backend Developer, or an ambitious medior developer ready to grow into a senior position, for a Dutch SaaS company in the financial services sector. This company develops a platform used daily by thousands of professionals to collaborate, automate routine processes, and manage their work in real time. At this scale, stability, performance, and maintainable architecture are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs in the system.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Java.
- Experience with database management systems like PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in backend development.
