About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Backbone Transmission Network Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing backbone transmission network designs that meet engineering standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop preliminary and detailed backbone transmission network design specifications.
- Define network dimensioning, addressing, and interface requirements for backbone transmission solutions.
- Prepare design documentation, Bill of Quantities (BoQ) inputs, and technical room survey outputs for network deployment readiness.
- Support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and adherence to timelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, VLAN, MPLS, IP Routing, BGP, NAT, and OSPF.
- Proven experience in network design and implementation.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA or equivalent.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in network engineering or a related field.
