About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Back End Engineer specializing in Java to join their team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will understand both business and technical requirements in detail and will be responsible for backend engineering tasks to design, build, and maintain Java 21 / Spring Boot-based APIs, microservices, and related batch processes critical to retail banking journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java 21 / Spring Boot-based microservices and batch programs.
- Ensure all solutions meet agreed quality, performance, and timeliness goals.
- Translate functional and non-functional requirements into robust and scalable backend solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing applications for performance and reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Java 21 and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing microservices architecture.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and batch processing.
- Familiarity with database technologies and cloud services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in backend engineering or software development.
