About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to enhance their security posture and protect their applications from potential threats. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in application security to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct security assessments and code reviews for applications across various platforms.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze and remediate vulnerabilities in web, API, and mobile applications, focusing on the OWASP Top 10.
- Develop and maintain security tools and frameworks to automate security testing and compliance.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on secure coding practices and application security principles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate with 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Application Security, Product Security, or a similar software security role.
- Strong proficiency in reading, reviewing, and reasoning about code in modern programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of common web, API, and mobile application vulnerabilities and their mitigation strategies.
- Experience with security testing tools and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
