About this role
The team is seeking a talented individual to join their Tech - TE2A (Enterprise Systems Engineering) team as a Senior API Engineer specializing in Google Apigee. This hybrid role will be based in Pune/Noida, requiring at least three days a week in the office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API management, with a focus on both development and DevOps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build robust API solutions using Google Apigee (Edge/X/hybrid).
- Implement security protocols and best practices for API management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality APIs.
- Monitor and optimize API performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Manage the deployment and integration of APIs in various environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Google Apigee and API management principles.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in API development and management.
