About this role
The team is seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will lead advanced-level troubleshooting, design secure architectures, optimize firewall and SD-WAN deployments, and manage critical security incidents. You will provide leadership to Level 2 teams, develop automation solutions, drive improvements in security policies, and collaborate with Security Operations Center (SOC) and architecture teams to maintain a robust security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect enterprise FortiGate deployments, including Active/Active configurations.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Optimize and enhance firewall and SD-WAN configurations for improved performance.
- Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline security processes.
- Collaborate with SOC teams to respond to security threats effectively.
- Mentor and guide L2 teams in security best practices and incident response.
- Continuously assess and improve security policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with FortiGate Firewall architecture and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and practices.
- Proficiency in SD-WAN technologies and deployment strategies.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in security engineering or a related field.
