About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Security Consultant to provide expert security consultancy on specialist strategic topics. In this role, you will work closely with vendors, platform teams, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to drive architectural decisions and design statements. You will take the lead in addressing security challenges and issues that fall outside established patterns, standards, or existing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide security consultancy on strategic topics to enhance overall security posture.
- Collaborate with vendors and SMEs to inform and guide architectural decisions.
- Develop and present design statements and exceptions as necessary.
- Lead initiatives to resolve complex security challenges.
- Ensure all strategic and architectural decisions are aligned with approved governance processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in security consultancy, with a focus on strategic and architectural aspects.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in ambiguous scenarios.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills to articulate security concepts and decisions.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in security consulting or a related field.
