About this role
The team is seeking a passionate Software Development Engineer I to join their Transportation Team. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with business and operations teams to gather shipping carrier requirements and work with transportation technology teams to integrate new carriers and shipping methods into the network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain transportation documents such as shipping labels, carrier electronic manifests, and invoices.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of new shipping methods.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to shipping processes and documentation.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with web services and APIs, particularly in the context of shipping and logistics.
- Familiarity with database management and SQL.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development, preferably in logistics or transportation.
