About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Power BI development and data modeling, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze logical business requirements to create clear technical specifications.
- Develop analytical workflows that meet business needs.
- Connect to backend enterprise systems including SQL databases, cloud warehouses, and APIs, moving beyond traditional flat Excel files.
- Design and implement efficient data schemas using Star and Snowflake models.
- Establish clean table relationships to optimize data flow and accessibility.
- Author high-performing DAX queries and calculations to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Utilize Power Query to transform and prepare data for analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
- Strong experience with SQL databases and cloud data warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts, especially Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in data engineering or a similar role.
