About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Data Analyst specializing in Data Operations to join their team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing and analyzing financial documents received from General and Limited Partners, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and analyze various financial documents, including capital calls, distributions, financial statements, and schedules of investments.
- Access GP portals and repositories to download, categorize, and tag fund-related documents with accurate metadata.
- Extract, standardize, and validate data from Private Equity documents such as Partners’ Capital Account statements, cash flow statements, and investment schedules.
- Identify appropriate accounting breakouts and classifications for financial reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data integrity and compliance with operational standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in data analysis or financial operations, preferably within the Private Equity sector.
- Proficiency in data management tools and software, including Excel and database management systems.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
