Join the team’s dynamic team as a Remote RPG Developer on a contract basis. The team is a leader in the manufacturing industry and is looking for a highly skilled individual to enhance business operations through full-cycle RPG development. Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in full-cycle RPG development, including planning, programming, testing, and implementation.
- Implement and troubleshoot programming changes and modifications using RPG and ERP knowledge.
- Identify and resolve problems or potential issues with systems and/or clients.
- Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical personnel.
- Analyze, write, and maintain computer applications in iSeries (RPG IV, ILE).
Requirements:
- Advanced RPG IV and ILE programming experience.
- Familiarity with Service Programs and Stored Procedures.
- Practical experience with SQL.
- Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Ability to follow existing logic while modifying existing programs.
- Manufacturing industry experience is a plus, but not required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in RPG development.
