About this role
Join the frontier of AI-driven software development with the team, a leader in intelligent coding assistants. Our mission is to empower engineers worldwide with tools that accelerate innovation and reduce repetitive work. This remote-first role allows you to collaborate globally while enjoying the flexibility to design your own schedule. If you thrive on solving programming puzzles and want to make a significant impact on AI research, this contract opportunity is tailored for you.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of software engineering, machine learning, and technical communication. You will partner with world-class research teams to train large language models (LLMs) that can produce robust, production-grade code across multiple languages. Your contributions will enhance the performance of tools used by millions of developers and data scientists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate AI-generated code by reviewing snippets produced by LLMs for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
- Solve real-world coding challenges and submit clean, optimized solutions for model training cycles.
- Design and implement comprehensive test suites to verify the functionality of generated code.
- Produce technical reports and annotation guides to assist AI researchers in understanding model strengths and weaknesses.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and fellow engineers to align on project goals and timelines.
- Experiment with engineering designs and feedback to guide the model toward producing higher-quality outputs.
- Contribute to community knowledge through articles, blog posts, or open-source contributions that showcase AI's role in software development workflows.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in software engineering or full-stack development.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C++.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to solve ambiguous problems and craft algorithmic solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail in coding style, documentation, and testing.
- Experience in producing clear and technically accurate documentation or tutorials.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with additional languages and technologies like SQL, Rust, Go, or .NET.
- Recognized contributions to open-source projects or participation in coding competitions.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts, especially generative models.
- A commitment to continuous learning and mentoring junior developers.
What we offer:
The team provides a dynamic work environment that encourages innovation and collaboration. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technologies while contributing to meaningful projects that shape the future of software development.
