About this role
The team is seeking a Quality Engineer 1 to join their Enterprise Systems team, focusing on Backend Testing. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions that support planning and allocation processes within a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for backend systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand system architecture and identify testing requirements.
- Conduct performance and regression testing to ensure system stability and functionality.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on quality assurance best practices.
- Assist in the development of automated testing frameworks and tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance, specifically in backend testing.
- Proficiency in testing methodologies and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
