About this role
The team is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. The QA Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging issues, and defining corrective actions to enhance product reliability. This role is crucial in the product development process, ensuring that all systems meet high-quality standards before release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on system requirements.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts.
- Perform exploratory testing to identify issues and areas for improvement.
- Debug and troubleshoot defects, providing detailed reports on findings.
- Review system requirements and specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Track and analyze quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a thorough understanding of product features and requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance or a similar role.
- Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
