About this role

The team is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong focus on Test Automation to join their dynamic team. This role involves developing and executing test strategies and scenarios specifically for applications and infrastructure within the Financial Exchange industry. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively as part of a scrum team in an agile environment and will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated regression test suites to enhance testing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth software deployments in production environments.
  • Work independently or with minimal supervision to plan and accomplish testing goals.
  • Write or modify scripts in Perl or UNIX to automate repetitive testing tasks.
  • Participate in scrum meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in test automation, particularly in the Financial Exchange sector.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl or UNIX.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in a scrum team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
