About this role
The team is seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in Quality Engineering to join their team in Trivandrum, Kerala. This role is not a traditional QA management position; rather, it requires a candidate who thinks like a software engineer and is passionate about integrating quality into enterprise software development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of QA automation engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement test strategies that ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Identify, record, and track defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Analyze test results and provide feedback to stakeholders, ensuring that quality standards are met.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in QA automation and software testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in QA automation, with a strong understanding of software development processes.
- Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on collaboration.
Experience:
- 9 to 15 years of relevant experience in QA automation and quality engineering, preferably in the Banking, SaaS, or Financial Technology sectors.
