About this role
The team is seeking an experienced QA Engineer with a strong background in Selenium and SQL for an urgent requirement in the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience and will be responsible for developing and executing automated test solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test solutions using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
- Create and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end test suites.
- Analyze test failures and maintain automation scripts.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform database validation and testing using SQL.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and distributed teams.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Track defects, identify risks, and support timely releases.
- Explore and leverage AI / Agentic AI tools for software testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver Automation.
- Proficient in Java Programming and familiar with TestNG / JUnit / Cucumber.
- Experience in Selenium Framework Design (POM / Hybrid Framework).
- Skilled in SQL & Database Testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, and CloudBees.
- Knowledge of Functional & Regression Testing methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
- Strong debugging skills and automation script maintenance.
- Experience in Test Planning & Test Case Preparation.
Mandatory Domain Experience:
- Proven experience in the Banking / Financial Services domain, which may include banking, financial services, payments, capital markets, insurance, or other financial-domain projects.
