QA Automation Engineer (Robot Framework) (India)

The team is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in Robot Framework and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on automation experience, exceptional debugging skills, and the ability to independently manage testing activities for assigned modules. Candidates with experience in the BFSI/Financial Services sector are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Robot Framework.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and automation testing.
• Independently troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Analyze production issues and collaborate with development teams for root cause analysis.
• Validate application functionality using SQL queries and Unix/Linux commands.
• Participate in test planning, test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
• Own QA activities for assigned modules/features and ensure timely delivery.
• Mentor junior QA engineers whenever required.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on debugging and analytical skills with a focus on troubleshooting.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Robot Framework for automation.
• Basic hands-on experience with Unix/Linux and comfortable using shell commands.
• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge with the ability to write queries and perform data validation.
• Basic understanding of Python is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance (BFSI) domain.
• Proven experience owning end-to-end QA activities for a module or feature.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in QA automation is required.
