About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Python Backend Engineer with expertise in FastAPI to take ownership of the backend development for a subscription-based SaaS platform. This platform features gated content, video courses, AI-powered functionalities, research tools, and real-time systems. This is a hands-on role where you will be instrumental in building and enhancing the backend infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI.
- Design and implement APIs for content management, payment processing, and user authentication.
- Integrate AI features and ensure seamless communication between various system components.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver solutions.
- Optimize database interactions using PostgreSQL hosted on AWS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues to ensure high performance and reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in Python and FastAPI with a strong understanding of RESTful API design.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS services.
- Familiarity with subscription-based SaaS platforms and payment integration.
- Knowledge of AI systems and their integration into backend services is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Experience:
- 4-6 years of relevant backend development experience, particularly in Python and FastAPI.
