The team is seeking a Product Security Engineer - SecDevOps to join their Product Security Engineering Team. This team is dedicated to ensuring that all code developed is secure by default. As a Product Security Engineer, you will be a subject matter expert in product security, leveraging your software development background to collaborate with engineering teams across the organization. Your role will be crucial in integrating security into every phase of the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify security requirements and implement secure coding practices.
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in products.
- Develop and maintain security tools and processes to automate security checks in the development pipeline.
- Provide guidance and training to development teams on secure coding practices and security best practices.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in products.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong background in software development with experience in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- In-depth knowledge of security principles, practices, and tools related to application security.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with threat modeling and vulnerability assessment methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in software development and security engineering, with a focus on product security.
