About this role
The team is seeking a Principal Software Engineer with a strong background in Java to join their eLIMS-Forensics programme. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of enterprise systems, including Forensic Case Management, LIMS, and Expert Reporting platforms. This position requires a blend of software architecture expertise, hands-on development skills, and delivery leadership within a complex and regulated forensic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of software solutions in Java for forensic applications.
- Collaborate with the core Qualitype team and operational SMEs to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and development teams.
- Oversee the integration of software components and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Engage with solution architects to define system architecture and design specifications.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices in software development are followed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in software development with a strong focus on Java.
- Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Experience working in regulated environments, preferably in forensic or similar fields.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience:
- A minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience in software engineering, with a focus on enterprise systems.
