About this role

The team is seeking a Principal QA Engineer specializing in Automation Testing to join their dynamic team. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of production infrastructure, the product being tested, and its usage interfaces, along with other dependencies of the product. The successful candidate will be instrumental in guiding teams in automation test principles and strategies while ensuring the highest quality of software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute complex test cases based on gathered information and product requirements.
  • Utilize various testing techniques, including black box, white box, positive, negative, and boundary value testing.
  • Create and manage test data to effectively demonstrate testing skills and ensure thorough coverage.
  • Mentor and guide team members in automation testing best practices and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in automation testing frameworks and tools.
  • Proficiency in programming languages relevant to automation, such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in quality assurance and automation testing.
