About this role
The team is seeking a technically exceptional and strategically minded Principal Performance and Scalability Engineer to define and own their organization-wide approach to performance engineering. This role is critical in setting the standard for benchmarking, testing, and validating platform behavior at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement performance engineering strategies across the organization.
- Design and build systems and pipelines to support performance testing and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance standards are met.
- Analyze and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Lead initiatives to identify performance bottlenecks and propose solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in performance engineering practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in performance engineering and scalability testing.
- Proficiency in performance testing tools and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of software development practices and methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Experience:
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in performance engineering or related fields.
